But First Coffee

Aeropress Coffeemaker

Coffee.  Is there anything more lovely in the morning than a warm, delicious cup of coffee?  No.  The correct answer is no. 🙂  But, how would you get that if you are in the wilderness? You’ll find the caffinated answer in this Aeropress Review.

To be perfectly honest, we have one of these, and we love it.  We’ve had it about a year, and purchased it when we were given a recommendation regarding it.  But don’t trust our word for it, look at the ratings it gets on Amazon.  5,000 over 4.5 star reviews can’t be wrong! Here’s the deal – this isn’t a paid or sponsored post.  We just want to really let you know what we think of this product.  (That said, we do have affiliate links, below.)

1. Great Tasting Coffee

This is really the most important thing, right?  I mean, if the coffee isn’t good, then the rest of this Aeropress Review simply doesn’t matter.

This coffee is good, guys.  Like really, really good.  Some people say you can make espresso with this.  I’m not quite sold on that.  It is strong coffee for sure, but since I’m not a huge fan of really strong coffee, I don’t usually make espresso with this.  Maybe I’m just spoiled that Todd has an ACTUAL espresso machine!  The best part about this Aeropress is that it can be made according to your wishes!  There are even Aeropress Competi!tions that use this little tool to see who can make the best cup of coffee!  To say that this machine has a cult following is an understatement!

2. Affordable

Around $30 bucks.  Seriously?  This is something anyone can afford, really.  And the amount of use you will get out of it – well, you can’t calculate happiness, can you?

3. Easy to Use

This is really easy to use.  I mean, extremely easy.  It’s literally heating water up, and then pushing it over coffee grounds.  So, you know, EASY.   The brew time is obviously not the same as a coffee pot, but frankly, it’s not that much different to notice.  Except for the fact that you aren’t brewing an ENTIRE pot of coffee, so might have to do this a couple of times.  Again, completely worth the wait!

4. Easy to Clean

Did I mention that the Aeropress was easy to use?  It’s also incredibly easy to clean.  A little bit of water, and its clean and ready for the next use.

4. Durable

This Aeropress is a really durable plastic.  You would have a really hard time breaking this.  Is it possible?  Sure.  Anything is possible.  But if you are using it for it’s intended purpose (making delicious coffee) then you will be fine.  (And if you AREN’T using this to make coffee, I’m not sure that I want to know what you are using it for!)

5. BPA Free

This is a big deal to us – we don’t like chemicals disrupting our hormones or causing cancer, and what not.  The Aeropress passes with flying colors on this one!

After that lovely Aeropress Review, I bet you would LOVE to know how to actually make the coffee using the Aeropress! Wish granted!

  • Put the two pieces together, and flip it upside down
  • Add your coffee to your taste.
  • Heat almost boiling water, and then pour it into the top
  • Stir, Stir, Stir
  • Put a filter in the basket where all the holes are, and screw the top on.
  • Wait patiently (but only for about 20-30 seconds – again this is really a personal preference!)
  • Flip it over and press down slowly.  Delicious coffee!

So, that’s the review of the Aeropress.  It’s amazing, and frankly the best kept secret to coffee (either camping or just at home!)
