Its as if a bullet journal and a field notebook had a A totally awesome baby.
We live in a fast paced, technologically driven world. Facebook, Text Messages, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest……our attention is constantly being lured into these distractions that leave us with little peace, comfort, and satisfaction. Many people turn to nature for rest, relaxation, and reflection. However, given our modern world, most people who consider hiking (or camping) find the silence a bit overwhelming at times, and the lack of distraction, uncomfortable. A traditional field notebook would allow you to capture nature as you see it, and is truly creative and a skill to learn. However, other people enjoy bullet journaling, where you plan weekly/monthly activities, set goals for yourself, reflect on Bible verses, or plan for your future. Typically, people who bullet journal aren’t creating them out on the trail, and people who create field notebooks aren’t creating them at home. And, to be honest, I liked the idea of doing both.
So, I created SOMETHING COMPLETELY NEW – The Outdoor Adventure Journal! After learning this completely new way to record your time in nature, and at home, you will be able to plan, dream, record, study, draw, sketch, paint, and reflect on your experiences like never before! Let me just say that this is NOT just a field notebook, where you can capture the nature you see. And it is not JUST a bullet journal, where you can deal with weekly/monthly tasks, and set goals for your health and life. This is a new idea that combines several different forms of rest, relaxation, planning, goal setting, and reflection into one unique place – the Outdoor Adventure Journal.

The Outdoor Adventure Journal Workshop will be hosted at the Historic Browning, in downtown Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
The Historic Browning was originally built in 1889 by the Browning family. The Browning family owned a Mercantile known as Browning and Duncan’s. Today, the Bed & Breakfast honors the roots of the Browning Family by being professionally designed in the Farmhouse Style by two local stores: Cameron’s Home Furnishings and Very Violet Boutique. Each of the three rooms have their own private bath. The home has a beautiful centralized living and dining room, a shared deck and patio space, an expansive front porch and is located within walking distance of Downtown Lee’s Summit and the Amtrak Station. The Historic Browning provides you with the beauty and charm of a small town with close access to the Kansas City Metro Area.
